Candidate Stacey Abrams, who refused to concede the questionable outcome of the gubernatorial election in Georgia, has gone on to found the voting rights organization, Fair Fight.  Suppressed 2020: The Fight To Vote, by Robert Greenwald, is a short, powerful and even frightening documentary about the growing threat of voter suppression to our 2020 election, told through deeply personal accounts from voters of color.

The film will be followed by a valuable talk and Q & A with voting rights advocate Valerie Morishige. Ms. Morishige has a decade of experience with nonprofits working on equity, diversity, and inclusion issues. She is currently working full-time to address the voter registration shortfall and to build electoral power for historically disenfranchised communities. Ms.Morishige reminds us, "We might have all of the fancy policies and politicians saying all the right things about voting in California, but in practice we fail".

Please join us and learn how to prevent voter suppression right here in our state.
