Attend or watch the final meetings of the The Applicant Review Panel (ARP) when they will narrow the current applicant pool to the 60 most qualified applicants for the Citizens Redistricting Commission. 

Meetings are streamed live on the internet. Transcripts, and and videos are made available as soon as possible after the meetings. 

There will be time allotted for the ARP to hear more public testimony before they make their final decision.

The Applicant Review Panel will discuss and identify applicants to be retained in or eliminated from the current applicant pool, exam the demographics of the pool of remaining applicants for the purpose of assessing the political, racial, ethnic, gender, economic, and geographic diversity of the pool, and vote to reduce the applicant pool by eliminating one or more applicants from further consideration.

On June 8, Los Angeles County voters will decide among 21 candidates for six Superior Court seats.  How will voters make informed choices?  You are invited to a free, public and rare chance to meet the candidates.  If elected, these individuals will decide civil and criminal cases as Superior Court Judges.

Democratic candidates running for Attorney General in  the June Primary Election have agreed to participate in a debate on May 18, 2010 at the Milken Institute in Santa Monica. Parking is avaiable in the city lot #1 adjacent to the building. Rocky Delgadillo, Kamala Harris, Chris Kelly, Ted Lieu, Pedro Nava, and Alberto Torrico have agreed to participate in the debate. David Ono, KABC TV newsanchor is moderating.The event is being produced by Regberg & Associates with the League of Women Voters acting as consultants.

Republican candidates running for U.S. Senate in the June Primary Election have agreed to participate in a debate on May 6, 2010 at the Museum of Tolerance. Tom Campbell, Chuck DeVore and Carly Fiorina have been confirmed participants. The event is being produced by Regberg & Associates with the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles acting as consultants. Marc Brown, news anchor at KABC-TV is the moderator.  The debate will be taped for broadcast on ABC-TV stations throughout California.

The LWVCEF is co-sponsoring a candidate forum for the office of Superintendent of Public Instruction with the CA State PTA. The forum is being moderated by League President, Janis Hirohama. Barbara Inatsugu, past president of the League, is chairing this event with help from members of the League of Women Voters of Sacramento County and members of the State PTA.

The forum is open to League members and the public.
