SUMMARY:California's Immigration Protections: Resistance & Resilience
DESCRIPTION:We’re excited to announce the final event in our three-part advocacy webinar series. The focus of our third session will be on immigration. Each webinar features experts and a guided discussion to dig into the issues and the policies shaping them. This information will help equip us to take action in our communities and across the state. \nWhat challenges are immigrants facing right now in California? What policy solutions are being proposed? What can we do to help our communities stay informed and aware of their rights? These questions and more will be answered at our final webinar: “California’s Immigration Protections: Resistance & Resilience.” \n📅 Join us on May 28 from 6:00-7:30 PM for a policy-informed conversation with experts: \n🌟 Pedro Rios – San Diego Director\, American Friends Service Committee \n🌟 Jason Bercovitch – District Director\, Office of Congressman Scott Peters \n🌟 Gustavo Solis – Investigative Border Reporter\, KPBS \nThey’ll share what the current landscape of immigration policy looks like nationally and in California\, ongoing threats to immigrants rights\, and what we can all do to make an impact. \nThe webinar is free to attend – donations are strongly encouraged to support the League’s critical advocacy efforts in Sacramento and throughout California. \n👉 Register Today \n  \nSee Event Series
