Many of us have extra time these days. What better way to spend it than with a book! In these trying times, it's also helpful to stay in community, even if we can't personally be with each other.
This year--the hundredth anniversary of women's suffrage--we're starting the LWVO Centennial Book Club under the leadership of Trisha Gorman, LWVO Centennial Committee. We'll be meeting over Zoom on the third Thursday of every other month. (Zoom, which is free for users, works with PCs/Macs and on iPhones/Androids.)

We will discuss the fifth and sixth case studies in the Harvard University book: DEMOCRACY: A CASE STUDY by David Moss.  A reminder that this book is available in paperback and a Kindle edition.

#5 - Property, Suffrage, and the "Right of Revolution" in Rhode Island (1842)
#6 - Debt and Democracy: The New York Constitutional Convention of 1846
