DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Denah Hoard\, Executive Director of the Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission of Orange CountyTopic:  Transparency and TrustSpeaker Bio:Denah Hoard has been practicing law in Southern California for over 25 years. Her career has almost entirely been spent in the public sector\, first serving as a research attorney to a federal judge\, spending a short time at a firm specializing in public entity defense and then 10 years with the Santa Ana City Attorney’s Office. A move to the Cal State system to practice employment law state-wide convinced her that Orange County was the only place to practice law. She returned to municipal law by working for the City of Orange where she spent 4 years. She only left the beautiful City of Orange to take the position of Executive Director of the Campaign Finance and Ethics Commission. She has held this position since April of 2017 and has been responsible for establishing the office from the ground up._________________Cost to attend: $26 / personEntree Choices: 1. Sandwich Bar – Create your own sandwich by selecting from a variety of meats and cheese (including ham\, beef\, turkey\, Swiss and American cheeses).  Both a Caesar Salad and a Pesto Potato salad are included in the buffet. Cookies and brownies for dessert. Water and iced tea. 2. Vegetarian Pasta Bar – Spaghetti with both marinara and alfredo sauces available.  Served with Caesar salad and garlic bread.
