SUMMARY:Lompoc Nonpartisan Candidate Forum-City Council and Mayoral Candidates
DESCRIPTION:The 2nd of two candidate forums hosted by the Lompoc-Vandenberg branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW)\, the League of Women Voters of North Santa Barbara County\, and FUTURE for Lompoc Youth (FLY) will be Thursday\, October 03\, 2024.  The candidates for Lompoc Mayor and City Council will respond to questions from the community via your Zoom registration.The forum will be in person at  Lompoc City Hall\, 100 Civic Center Plaza\, Lompoc\, with live interpretation (Spanish and English). It will be broadcast on TAP TV Channel 23\, and on KPEG 100.9 PM\, and via Zoom Webinar with live interpretation.A Community/Candidate Meet-Up from 5:45-6:15 pm will precede each forum at City Hall where the candidates are invited to bring campaign literature.  All voters and community members are welcome to attend.  The Candidate forum will begin at 6:00 pm and end at 8:00 pmThere is no cost to attend but registration (whether attending in person or via Zoom) is requested at AAUW https://lompocvandenberg-ca.aauw.net/.  Click the button for the forum you plan to attend\, enter your registration information and scroll to the bottom to select how you plan to attend (in person at Lompoc City Hall\, via Zoom webinar\, via TAP TV\, or via KPEG radio).A $20 gift card for a woman-owned small business in Lompoc will be awarded to the first 100 people who register for the forums; a maximum of one gift card per person.
