DESCRIPTION:California Votes: Exercising Your Right/Votos de California: ¡Ejerza su derecho!California Votes: Exercise Your Right! exhibit comes to the McHenry Museum\, September 29\, 2024 – November 10\, 2024 Fridays\, Saturdays\, and Sundays\, Noon to 4 pmAs a member of our democratic society\, and a citizen of California\, it is your right to vote. Exercising that right means you can have a direct impact on who is elected\, and the policies they enact at all levels of government: federal\, state\, and local. A new exhibit hosted by the Modesto Art Museum at the McHenry Museum — California Votes: Exercising Your Right — will help you better understand the electoral process as well as the colorful and often contentious history of voter rights\, including the amendments granting African Americans and women the right to vote. The California Votes ephemera includes buttons\, newspaper clippings\, photos\, posters\, and more.Como miembro de nuestra sociedad democrática y ciudadano de California\, tiene derecho a votar.
