Unsheltered Task Force: Kickoff Meeting!

Women’s Equality Day & the Centenary of the Passage of the 19th Amendment

On this day in 1920, the United States of America certified the 19th amendment to its constitution prohibiting any state or the federal government from denying any citizen the right to vote on the basis of gender.

In August 1973, Congress approved a resolution designating August 26 "Women's Equality Day."
