Doors open at 9:30 am for coffee, tea and light refreshments, with the program beginning at 10:00 am.
We can't believe how fast the year went but are excited to kick off the New Year with local writer Heidi Swan and her brother Kirk Anderson, in the showing of "A Night In Jail" which depicts the connection between drug abuse, mental illness and homelessness. The movie was directed by award-winning filmmaker and Mira Costa student Ethan Nahlinder.
A series of candidate forums will be held on five consecutive Thursdays starting January 9, at the Eric Rood Government Center in Nevada City. Moderated by the League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County, a nonpartisan organization, the forums are for congressional, state, and local offices to be on the March 3 Primary Election ballot. All official candidates were invited to the forums.
