The League of Women Voters of California Education Fund is
co-sponsoring a candidates forum on September 29th for the
Superintendent of Public Instruction office with the Los Angeles County
Office of Education, The Los Angeles County School Trustees Asssociation
and the California State PTA. The forum with be at the LA County Office
of Education, Education Cener West Building, 12830 Columbia Way,
Downey, CA 90242 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The public is invited to
attend.

Attend or watch the final meetings of the The Applicant Review Panel (ARP) when they will narrow the current applicant pool to the 60 most qualified applicants for the Citizens Redistricting Commission. 

Meetings are streamed live on the internet. Transcripts, and and videos are made available as soon as possible after the meetings. 

There will be time allotted for the ARP to hear more public testimony before they make their final decision.

The Applicant Review Panel will discuss and identify applicants to be retained in or eliminated from the current applicant pool, exam the demographics of the pool of remaining applicants for the purpose of assessing the political, racial, ethnic, gender, economic, and geographic diversity of the pool, and vote to reduce the applicant pool by eliminating one or more applicants from further consideration.
