Corrections to the 16th edition of the G2CG
1. Chapter 2, page 31, Forming a Political Party, first bullet
1 percent is .33 percent.
"On or before the 135th day before a primary election, it appears to Secretary of State, as a result of examining and totalling the statement of the voters and their declared political party preference trasmitted to him by the county elections officials, that voters equal in numbers to at least .33 percent of the total number of voters registered on the 154th day before the primary election have declared their preference to that party". The current sales tax rate is 7.5%, not 6% . The rate is scheduled to go back to 7.25% at the end of 2016, when the Prop. 30 sales tax expires.

Substitute the following paragraphs:
Every county has a Superior Court which has jurisdiction over all criminal and civil cases including felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic matters. They also have jurisdiction over all civil cases including family law, probate, juvenile, and general civil matters. Almost 8.5 million cases were filed in California during 2010-2011. The California Legislature determines the number of judges in each court. The number varies depending on population; there are 1,662 authorized judges for the entire state.
