Our third session focused on immigration. We discussed the challenges immigrants faced in California, the policy solutions proposed, and ways to help our communities stay informed and aware of their rights. This was all covered in our final webinar: “California’s Immigration Protections: Resistance & Resilience.”

We held a policy-informed conversation with experts:

The second webinar in our Spring Advocacy Webinar Series took place on Tuesday, April 29th at 6:30 PM! We joined for a panel discussion featuring housing policy and advocacy experts – Corey Smith, Noerena Limón, and Cesar Covarrubias – to learn more about the barriers faced by communities and policymakers regarding affordable housing access and what we as advocates could do in this space.

California’s Voter Participation Gap: Strategies to Promote Engagement & Representation

The first webinar in our spring three-part series was held! We joined for a data-informed panel discussion featuring voting rights and participation experts—Mindy Romero, PhD, Pablo Rodriguez, Jala Abner, and Sky Allen—to learn more about where voter participation gaps existed in California, how strategic voter engagement could improve voting access, legislation related to the issue, and what we could do to achieve a more representative democracy.
