There is no simple explanation for the housing shortage and the cost of housing. The high cost of housing touches every aspect of life in our community. It is the root cause of homelessness.

The League’s presentation on The ABCs of Affordable Housing identifies the key elements affecting housing affordability, equity, and the roles government policy and private entities play. The League of Women Voters fosters productive conversations around these themes and supports policies to promote affordable housing for all in our region.
