
Jenny Farrell
Jenny Farrell, Esq. serves as the Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of California (LWVC), where she leads the organization’s strategic vision and day-to-day operations to advance civic participation, voting rights, and equity across the state. In this role, Jenny works closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and over 60 local League affiliates to empower voters, strengthen grassroots engagement, and defend democratic institutions in California. She oversees organizational management and external relations and plays a central role in policy advocacy, fundraising, and coalition building to expand the League’s reach and impact statewide.
Prior to joining the League, Jenny was the Executive Director of Mental Health Advocacy Services, where she guided the organization through transformative growth, significantly increasing its budget and staff while enhancing policy advocacy and community legal services for low-income individuals with mental health disabilities. She has deep experience in nonprofit leadership, development, and external relations, including serving as Director of External Relations for the Survivor Justice Center, where she led communications, fundraising, and pro bono initiatives to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.
Jenny holds a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a law degree from USC Gould School of Law, where she has been recognized multiple times for her dedication to public interest work. Jenny lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two sons, and dog, Eleanor Rigby.
