Dora Rose serves as Deputy Director for the League of Women Voters of California. Dora has been a civil rights litigator, policy advocate, and voting rights activist for over twenty years. Her experience includes holding leadership positions with the Voting Rights Institute, the Center for Election Integrity at Cleveland State University, and as General Counsel and Director of Voter Protection for the Ohio Democratic Party.
Since moving from Ohio to California in 2012, Ms. Rose has worked with the ACLU of California developing a series of Secretary of State Candidate forums, and as a cooperating attorney organizing to improve California’s ballot initiative process. Most recently she has been leading the League of Women Voters of California’s pilot partnership, Voter’s Edge California.
In Ohio, Dora was active in her local Shaker Heights League, serving on the Board of Directors. Dora is currently a member of the San Francisco League of Women Voters.
