Dear Members,

This is your “Call to Meeting” for a virtual Special meeting for all members of the League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara and LWVSB Education Fund in order to make a decision on a proposed merger of LWVSB and the LWVSB Educational Fund. This proposal would change the current legal structures from two associated corporations to one integrated organization that will be known as the League of Women Voters of Santa Barbara.

On Saturday, November 21, from 10:00am to 12pm via Zoom, The League of Women Voters of the Bay Area will hold a forum entitled “A Community Dialogue on Regional Decisions”.

The League of Women Voters of the Bay Area is the regional spokes-organization for the 20 Member Leagues of the Bay Area on issues of regional impact such as transportation, housing, water, and climate.

This virtual meeting is designed to provide important information on regional decisions regarding regional planning, housing and transportation and their impact on local communities including:

Many of us have extra time these days. What better way to spend it than with a book! In these trying times, it's also helpful to stay in community, even if we can't personally be with each other.
 
This year--the hundredth anniversary of women's suffrage--we're starting the LWVO Centennial Book Club under the leadership of Trisha Gorman, LWVO Centennial Committee. We'll be meeting over Zoom on the third Thursday of every other month. (Zoom, which is free for users, works with PCs/Macs and on iPhones/Androids.)
