The Porter Neighborhood Council is co-hosting a Candidates Forum for Council District 12 along with the League of Women Voters of Los Angeles.  The event will be held at the Castlebay Lane Elementary School at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. 

Parking: Lot parking is available

The 2019 Biennial Council of the League of Women Voters Bay Area will be held on Saturday, April 27th, at the Bellevue Club, 525 Bellevue Ave. Oakland CA. All are invited. 

Hope to see many of our league members at this event. This is an excellent opportunity to meet members from other bay area leagues and learn what they are doing to promote the mission of the League. Networking begins at 9:30 am. The Council commences at 10:00 am and concludes at 1:30 pm. There will be a business meeting followed by a presentation on Voter Services Information.

Appreciating Diversity Film Series will screen 5 short documentary films, and host a discussion led by revered film critic and Osher Lifelong Learning documentary film teacher Michael Fox. All League members are encouraged to attend as we master the skills needed to get our essential message to the public.
